1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Teamwork Edu ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
Teamwork Edu is a marketplace that connects students with independent tutors for online, one-on-one tutoring sessions. Teamwork Edu is not itself a school, tutor, or employer of tutors. Tutors are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Teamwork Edu.
3. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Teamwork Edu makes no warranty or guarantee regarding academic outcomes, grades, test scores, or any other result from using a tutor found through the Platform. Tutoring effectiveness varies by student, subject, and effort, and is outside our control.
4. Tutor Vetting Disclaimer
While we review tutor applications before approval, Teamwork Edu does not perform formal background checks, certification verification, or licensing audits unless explicitly stated. Parents and students are encouraged to review tutor profiles, ratings, and reviews before booking, particularly for sessions involving minors.
5. Payments and Fees
Session payments are processed through Stripe at the time of booking. Teamwork Edu retains a platform commission from each transaction; tutors receive the remainder as payout. All fees are disclosed before you confirm a booking. Refunds are evaluated case-by-case based on cancellation timing and circumstances — contact hello@teamwork-edu.com to request one.
6. Account Conduct
Users must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. Harassment, discrimination, fraud, or sharing of contact information to circumvent the Platform's payment system may result in suspension or termination of an account without refund.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teamwork Edu and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, including but not limited to disputes between students and tutors, technical outages, or third-party service failures (e.g. Stripe, Daily.co, Supabase, Resend).
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
