1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and role (student or tutor). Tutors additionally provide a bio, subjects, and hourly rate. We also store booking, messaging, session note, and payment records generated through your use of the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the Platform: matching students with tutors, processing payments, scheduling and hosting video sessions, sending transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, messages), and enforcing our Terms of Service.

3. Third-Party Services

We share the minimum necessary data with the following processors to deliver the service:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and storage
  • Stripe — payment processing and tutor payouts
  • Daily.co — video conferencing for tutoring sessions
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — application hosting

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Security

Data is stored in Supabase Postgres with Row Level Security policies restricting access to your own records (or, for tutors, records tied to bookings they're party to). Payment card details are never stored on our servers — they are handled entirely by Stripe.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations related to processed payments.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@teamwork-edu.com. Note that some records (e.g. completed payment history) may be retained where required by law even after an account deletion request.

7. Children's Privacy

Teamwork Edu is intended for use by students with parental or guardian involvement where the student is a minor. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising account creation and bookings for minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
