How much does tutoring cost?
Tutors set their own hourly rate, starting at a minimum of $45/hr. You'll see the exact rate on each tutor's profile before booking, and the total cost is shown before you pay.
How do I pay for a session?
Payment is collected securely through Stripe when you book a session. We never store your card details — they're handled entirely by Stripe.
What happens after I book a session?
You'll receive a confirmation email with the session details. At the scheduled time, go to your dashboard and click "Join Session" to enter the video classroom.
Can I cancel or reschedule a session?
Contact your tutor directly through Messages as soon as possible. Refund eligibility depends on how much notice is given — see our Terms of Service for details.
How do I become a tutor?
Register for an account and select "Teach Students." You'll fill out a short application; our team reviews every applicant before approving tutor accounts.
How and when do tutors get paid?
Tutors are paid out after a session is marked completed, minus Teamwork Edu's platform commission. Payouts go to the bank account connected via Stripe.
What if I have a problem with a tutor or student?
Email us at hello@teamwork-edu.com with details. Our admin team reviews all reported issues and can suspend accounts that violate our policies.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. We use Supabase for secure data storage with row-level access controls, and never share your information with third parties beyond what's needed to process payments (Stripe) and video sessions (Daily.co). See our Privacy Policy for full details.
